 Living in Birmingham City Centre is a delight and you will always have something fun to do whatever your style is.

I have put together some of the best things to do in Birmingham, there will be something for you here whether you are looking for a fun family day out, you’re a science eccentric or looking for a place to party, there is something for everybody in the diverse Birmingham City Centre.

GRAND CENTRAL

First things first, if you are traveling to Birmingham, it is likely you could be traveling here by train as Birmingham New Street station has plenty of destinations. You will be welcomed to Birmingham to the astonishing, new renovated  Grand Central.

The new design floods the station with plenty of natural light giving it a fresh and modern feel. This super station is packed full of premium shops and restaurants covered by wonderful architecture. If you are feeling fancy, visit the fizz bar and sip some Prosecco or wine at Fizzenti.

CADBURYS WORLD

Bournville is the home of Cadburys Chocolate with the factory located here.Have a ‘choctastic’ day, devouring tons of free chocolate testers. If that is not enough for you, there is also there own Cadburys gift shop full of great chococlatey madness.

There are 14 magical zones throughout the factory teaching you the history and the marvelous making of the chocolate. The 4D Chocolate Adventure allows you to be part of the action with the motion seats, 3D screening which will make you grab out for the chocolate.

CINEMAS

The Electric Cinema, located Southside of Birmingham, is the UK’s oldest working cinema. It is now accommodated to red comfy seats, a bar and a place for food. At the electric cinema, you can watch new releases but also you can watch old classics with ‘The ‘Cinematic Time Machine’.

If you want a cinema with a wow factor, Cineworld is situated in the heart of the city on Broad Street. It has 12 IMAX screens, a licensed bar and a large car park which is free for viewers. Nearby there are an array of bars and restaurants for before or after your movie.

If it is a date night, and you are after a comfortable viewing, come and visit Every Man Cinema. You get unique experience at this boutique cinema. This cinema will make you forget where you are and you will believe you are at home. At this cinema, there is a restaurant, you can eat burgers, pizza, hot dogs and more which will be brought to you in your sear.

SUTTON PARK

If you are looking for something on a budget, why not visit Europe biggest park. Sutton Park is a beautiful park with various climbing frames, lakes and has restaurants dotted around. Grab your wellies and take a stroll through the park. You could even take some bread a feed the ducks.

This park is a natural area where animal roam freely, so take a stroll and wonder through the potential of spotting some wonderful wildlife. There are paths for both pedestrians and cyclists and several car parks surrounding the park.

BIRMINGHAM WILDLIFE CONSERVATION PARK

A park near to city centre is the Canon Hill park. It is home to the Birmingham wildlife conservation park. There is a wide range of animals here and depending on the time of the day, you can have a chance at feeding some of them. There are beautiful creatures here such as the Red Panda, Lynx, Leemurs and some monkeys are swinging about. Come here if you are animal lover or just looking for a fun family day out.

When you finish, you can take a stroll around the beautiful Canon Hill Park and see the Botanical Gardens.

BIRMINGHAM MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY

A world class museum in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, belongs a beautiful museum full of wonderful art pieces and sculpture.

General Admission to the museum is free. There are events and exhibitions that happen which include a cost, those can be found on the What’s On page.

THINK TANK SCIENCE MUSEUM

The Think Tank is an award winning museum located in Birmingham City Centre at the Millennium Point. A great place to take the kids, open 7 days a week, 10am – 5pm.

There is four floors of hands on exhibits and historical collections which will amaze you. Investigate the past, present and future

THE BULLRING

The Bullring is one of the biggest shopping malls in the UK. There are over 140 shops and kiosks so there will be a shop that tickles everybody’s fancy.

Inside you will find a Selfridges & Co, a Debenhams, Apple Store and many more designer and high street shops. To keep you going whilst you shop the mall, there are plenty of delicious restaurants such as Handmade Burger, Pizza Express, Nandos, Five Guys, Wagamamas and many more. THE LIBRARY OF BIRMINGHAM

The Library of Birmingham is the biggest public library in Europe. It is 31,000 square metres with 10 floors. Head to the top and admire the view of Birmingham from the library roof. There is a shop and a café on the first floor which serves delicious eat-in or take away food.

NIGHTLIFE

There is a lot of different clubs, bars and pubs in Birmingham, able to accustom your type of night.

If you are after a cool, trendy and creative night, try Digbeth. If you are after a night like non other, head down to Rainbow Warehouse hosting the biggest DJs from Annie Mac to Basement Jaxx. They stay open till late at night with after party’s and even have day raves every now again. If you are looking for a heavy night of dancing, get on down to digbeth.

Dig deeper into Southside where you will find many more places to party. The Arcadian is a selection of clubs such as IndiBar where you will spend your night dancing away on the dance floor whilst sipping delicious cocktails. Or you can have a classy night at Bambu in your own individual booth drinking the finest champagne. Great for the gay scene is Nightingales, it is a clubbing must, with everyone buzzing inside.

Broad street is home to Birmingham’s biggest night club, Gatecrasher. It has four rooms playing different music varying from classic dance anthems to R&B and hip hop to dub step. This club does truly have something for everyone.
Also on broad street is the Governor Casino. Get your gambling head on and win some money whilst drinking the finest drinks, and eating delicious food.
